I am Happy that Sri international school is doing very well both in academic and co-curricular fields. Our aim of starting Sri International school in the heart of city is to provide international standard education in close proximity to the city dewelers as all the international schools are situated far away on the outskirts of the city. Children cannot waste their precious 3 to 5 hours on traveling. Young minds need pollution free atmosphere. It is heartening to known that the first issue of SRI REFLECTION newsletter is going to be published. The staff and students have been working very hard to bring up the institution and make a mark among all the international schools in Hyderabad and India. Our aim is to create an excellent center for international education affiliated to Cambridge University, UK. Thus we have provided excellent facilities to the children in the school and we are encouraging them to participate in all the competitions conducted by various school and organizations. Although it is fledgling school it created waves by its creditable performance in Horlicks Wizkid Activity-2006 competition. Congratulations to the students and the staff. Keep doing the good work and make Sri International proud. |

Golden Mile Run & 2K Run |

Golden mile run was organized by SIS on 9th July, at N.T.R Gardens, Necklace Road. Fifty thousand rupees scholarship money was announced by SIS. Nearly 5000 thousand students from over 100 schools participated in the run conducted by Hyderabad District Athletic Association. Mr. Suresh kumar Reddy, Huda chairman flagged off the run while A.K. Khan I.P.S, Additional commissioner Traffic, Hyderabad. Mr. Prem Raj, the SAAP director, Mr. Venkat Reddy, A.P Volley Ball Association Secretary, Mr. Ram Reddy, international athletics presided over the occasion. Sri A.K. Khan I.P.S, Mr.Sudheer Kumar Reddy gave their valuable messages and encouraged the participants. The winners were given cash awards and T-shirts. Our school Principal Mr. G.Prabhakar Reddy explained about the main features of the school to the audience. |

Beach Volleyball |

Beach volley ball championship was sponsored by SIS in association with A.P volley Ball Association from 5th to 8th July At Rock Garden, Necklace Road, Hyderabad. Teams from more than 17 states participated in the event. It was a very colorful event filled with thrillers. Sri G. Vinod, Hon’ble minister of Labour and Employment presented the medals and trophy to the winners. Mr. Suresh Kumar, the Director of SIS was felicitated by the minister for the encouragement given to the sports persons. The audience was treated to ecstasy ay the athleticism and skills shown by the players. |

Chess Tournament |

A.P. Open Chess Championship Tournament was conducted by the A.P. State Association in Y.M.C.A premises from 6th to 8th July 2006. The championship prize money was sponsored by Sri International School. Mr. Balasubramanyam IAS, the director of school education and Mr. K. Suresh Kumar, the director of SIS gave away the prizes. More than 200 children from all the district of states participated in the Tournament. It was well organized by the chess Association and winners were given handsome cash awards to encourage them to scale greater. |

School inaugural Day |

The school was opened by 10th July, 2006 with a pooja. The chairman, P.S. Educational society, Sri Rajendra Kumar performed pooja to invoke God’s blessings on all the students, staff and management. Children of the school along with their parents, the staff and well wishers participated in the ceremony. It was an auspicious day to begin the school, the pooja had lasted for more than six hours. The school was taste fully decorated with floral designs and illuminations. The day went on an auspicious note and all who came, went away to pleased to see an international school coming up in the heart of the city. |

Cultural Competitions |

|
SIS organized competitions in western dance, Folk dance, Fancy Dress, Pot Painting, Quiz, singing, Drawing, Rangoli, Vegetable craving and flower arrangements for the children of Karimabad society and others on 2nd July, 2006. There were very good response from the children and every one participated enthusiastically. The winners were offered scholarships and trophies. Mr. Malla Reddy, Chief Advisor and Mr. Ravindhranath, member of Advisory of committee were the Guests of Honour. The audience had a whale of a time as they were treated to loads of fun and magic. It was grand success. Special thanks to Rizwan and his friends for helping us to conduct the whole program very smoothly. |
