The symbol of Sriinternational School derives from the idealogy that a school is " A Temple of Learning ". A temple of learning is an institution, a concepet that implies performance, stability, duty, a certain sense of size and space both physical and perceptual. The vertical components of the symbol have been abstracted from the letter "S" . The inner components from steeple formed by hands, implying shelter, protection and care, enveloping the circle that is part of uppertorso of a child with arms outstretched towards learning in exuberance and joy. The circle also denotes connotes, continuity, perfection, wholeness and balance.
The entire symbol is balanced and strongly rooted, yet possessing a sense of upward thrust and direction. The fluid curves lend an oriental touch and strong sense of dynamisim and activity. Anchored as it is on the name, the entire symbol unit is designed to be modern, and possess a symbology that can be understood across the globe.
The typeface used is Franco, a classical font that is strong , stable yet contemporary |
